Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryABRAHAM (ABE) ROSENBERG Suddenly on November 2, 2004, en route to Liverpool, England, we lost our beloved Abe Rosenberg. Abe was one of six siblings. He was predeceased by his father Louis in 1934 (at which time he was a young boy of nine years old), his mother Anne in 1978, his eldest brother Asher in 1989, his brother-in-law Nussy Bracey in 1977, and, most recently, his youngest brother Ben in 2004. Abe is survived by his brother Motty (Sybil), sister Doreen (Harold) Madick, sister Sadie Bracey of Liverpool, England, sister-in-law Sybil Rosenberg, nieces and nephews, Carol Lewis, Lou Bracey, Hillary Swerdlow, Lionel Rosenberg, Avril Kettner, Linda Goorvich, Heather Kluner, Laurence Rosenberg, Michele Madick, Alan Madick and Fern Goodman, as well as their significant others, many cousins, great-nieces and nephews, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews in Israel. Words cannot describe the impact that Abe had on everyone whose life he touched. Abe was born in Liverpool, England, on May 12, 1925. As a young man, he served in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War, including a tour of duty in India. He followed his family to Winnipeg in 1949. He began his career at Ben Moss Jewellers, and furthered his education by becoming a Certified Gemologist. He realized a dream when he became a partner at Mitchell Copp Jewellers. He was a past master of William Douglas Masonic Lodge, and a member of the General Monash Legion, Branch 115. After retirement, Abe devoted his life to his family, his synagogue, and his community. His appreciation of beauty was expressed through his magnificent paintings. Abe leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and kindness toward all humanity. His concern and commitment to those outside his own orbit will always remain an inspiration to all who knew him. We will miss his unassuming, gentle, nurturing presence. May his memory be for a blessing. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Abes memory to Etz Chayim Synagogue, 123 Matheson Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2W 0C3, 204-589-6305.
