SHIRLEY J. GEDDIE Peacefully at sunrise November 6, 2004 after a lengthy struggle with C.O.P.D. and Cancer at the Deer Lodge Centre our loving mother left to join the Angels. Shirley was born June 15, 1925 in Winnipeg. She was a member of the Prince Edward Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed camping in the Whiteshell; first at Nutimik Lake and then 22 years at Brereton Lake. She was known as Grandma Geddie to all of the seasonal campers. She spent many enjoyable hours knitting and sewing for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to be surrounded by her family and enjoyed a cup of coffee with her friends and neighbours. Her family was her life. She married Bill Geddie in August 1946 and was married for 49 years. She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Smyk, Heather Garton (Charlie), Lorraine (Daryl) and sons, Dell and Albert (Rose) grandchildren, Rick (Vinne) Kevin (Dawn) Colleen (Lionel) Terry (Wendy), Bonnie (Rob), Tony (Sabrina), Dallas and Shaylene; Chris, Ray, Danny (Tamara), Rob, Charlotte (Mike), and Bill; 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, her daughter Donna; her daughter-in-law Kathy; her parents, Fred and Lena; sister Marge and brother Ray. The chain is linked again. Special thanks to the fourth floor east staff at Deer Lodge Centre for making her last days comfortable. Funeral service will beheld at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. (at Henderson Hwy.) on Wednesday, November 10, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Poirier officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Society or CancerCare. We know you and dad are together again and will be watching over us today and always. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
