MARGARET ALEXANDRIA WILSON Margaret Alexandria Wilson passed away comfortably with her family at her side, on Saturday, October 30, 2004, at Minnedosa Hospital. She was born on September 8, 1918, in Harding, MB, to Thomas and Susan Robinson. Margaret was raised in Harding and moved to Winnipeg in 1940, where she received a diploma in business. After her schooling she returned to work at the Shoal Lake Creamery. In 1942 she married Lawrence Roy Wilson and during the Second World War they moved to Montreal where Roy served in the R.C.A.F. Following the war they returned to Manitoba and settled at Cordova near Minnedosa. They ran a General Store and Bulk Fuel Business and farmed. Roy and Margaret had three sons, Burke, Bob and Murray. Following retirement to Minnedosa in 1980, they traveled extensively to Europe, Australia, Scandinavia and throughout North America until Roys death in 1987. Margaret was a member of the Eastern Star - she was a Past Master of Ruth Chapter No.15, United Church Womens Group and Womens Institute. She had a keen mind and was a voracious reader. Margaret loved cooking and always had a new recipe to try. During the winter months she was an avid curler. Margaret is survived by her sons, Burke (Helena), Bob, Murray (Ivy) grandchildren, David, Julie, Bruce, Laurin, Morgan, Nicole and Mark; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Sebastian. She was predeceased by her loving husband Roy; parents; brother Bob Robinson; and sister Ruby Kirkpatrick. A funeral service was held Tuesday, November 2 at the Minnedosa United Church. Rev. Shawn Ankenmann officiated. Pallbearers were Harvey Dickie, David Wilson, Mel Nagorski, Frank Kirkpatrick, Bill Wesley and Marvin Namaka. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Minnedosa Health Centre Donation Account, Box 960, Minnedosa, MB R0J 1E0.
