DAVID L. J. CHARTRAND April 4, 1919 - November 7, 2004 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of David on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the age of 85. David passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife Tina; nephews, Vic and Linda, Brian, Eric; nieces, Blanche, Doris; and great-nephews, Corey and Clinton. Besides his loving wife Tina, he leaves to mourn his stepchildren, Margaret and Don, Gordie and Maureen, Jim and Linda, Donald and Sandy, Dennis, Donna and stepgrandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with their families. He also leaves behind from his first marriage stepchildren, Myrna and Ken and their families. David was predeceased by his parents William and Marie; his brothers, Gillis, Gib, Harvey, Gasper, Alec, Albert and Frank; his sisters, Jane, Marie, Adeline, Virginia, Ester and Maria in childhood. He was also predeceased by his first wife Myrtle. David was born and raised in Inwood, MB. When he finished school he farmed in this area until he retired to Teulon where he was now living. He used to love hunting, fishing and four-wheeling up to this fall. His greatest joy was four-wheeling with his great firend Lloyd Skogan where they had many good times. David and Tina along with Lloyd and Doris had many a good card game. Dave and Tina did a lot of dancing until the last couple of years when his health prevented him. He also served time in the services, also going overseas. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Teulon. Interment will follow in the Windsor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews and great-nephews, Victor, Curtis, Corey, Brian, Clinton, and Eric Chartrand. Honorary pallbearers will be everyone in attendance. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Teulon or to the MMF Teulon Local in care of Eugene Fleury, Teulon, MB. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
