Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN REIMER April 13, 1946 - November 7, 2004 On Sunday, November 7, 2004, Joan left us to be reunited with her mom again. She will lovingly be remembered by her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Bill Wilton; Wendy, Todd, Zoe and Bryce Wyman; Cam, Sean and Kyle Wilton; and Dan Wilton. Also left to cherish her memory are her aunt Anne and uncle Vic Martens, numerous cousins and her Westman House family, Jean, Jane, Sheilagh, Shirley, Ron and Mike; her guardian angels, Wendy Kennedy and Jennifer Davies, along with all the staff of Westman Opportunities. Joan was predeceased by her mother Kaye, in 1979 and her father Nick, in 1993. Joans life of independence began with her move to Brandon in 1979. With the help of COR Enterprises staff, she was taught to take public transportation to and from work and to have as much independence as she could master. She truly loved her work at COR and always looked forward to Fridays which were paydays. With her moved into Westman House in June 1979, a whole new world opened up for her and her place in that family was established. Staff at Westman House and COR Enterprises believed in endless possibilities and Joans accomplishments were a testament to that philosophy. Her life was extremely enriched and fulfilled. Many thanks go to all who helped her achieve her goals. Joan, how proud we were of you and all that you accomplished! What a great run at life you had! A very special thanks goes to Dr. Lawrence Groves for his kindness and caring in helping Joan maintain quality of life. Many thanks to all those who, in times of need, opened their hearts and homes, you know who you are, bless you all. A celebration of Joans life will be held at COR Enterprises, 364 Park Ave. East, Brandon on Wednesday, November 10 at 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 13 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westman Opportunities, 1544-10th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4H7. Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com. Arrangements are in care of Brockie Donovan, Brandon, (204) 727-0694.
