Peggy was predeceased by her husband Ernest on October 11, 2004; her parents, William and Olive Tee; and her sister Olive. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, David, Terry (Suzanne), Susan (Scott) Lougheed and William (Ardith) grandchildren, Graham, Laura, Darryl, Paige, Kelly, Sydney and Emma. Also surviving is her brother William (Olwen) Tee; her sister Heather Sandeford; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mum was born on July 4, 1924 in Mitcham Surrey, England. With the outbreak of the Second World War, Peggy, at age 15, chose to stay in London and help with the war effort, working at the war office. During that time, she met and fell in love with her future husband, Ernie. They were married and returned to Canada after the war. Mums love of ballet and classical music led her to volunteer for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Auxiliary. Peggy was an avid golfer and served as president of the Ladies League at Breezy Bend Golf Course. She loved to play bridge with her family and friends, as well as spend time in her garden. She also enjoyed her years volunteering at the Grace Hospital. Mums main love was her family and she cherished the time spent with them, especially on Sunday where there was always a standing invitation to dinner. The family would like to thank the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre for the compassion shown to Mum. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow.
