JOHN VICTOR ZABOROSKI April 12, 1924 - November 12, 2004 Tragically, on Friday, November 12, 2004, John Zaboroski aged 80 years of Winnipeg Beach, MB, beloved husband of Anne. John is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Anne; his three children, Dennis (Dawn), Leonard (Anne) and Debbie Benson; grandchildren, Alex, David, Gillian, Paul, Jeanna, Aaron, Austin, Madison and Soren; step-grandchildren, Kyla and Alea and his sister Pat. He was predeceased by his sisters, Anne, Nellie, Helen and Linda and his brother Eddy. John was born and raised in Shorncliff, MB and was the son of Maria (nee Obacz) and Peter Zaboroski. He married Anne Weresuik on May 7, 1949 and they lived for a short while with Johns parents in Shorncliff, until purchasing and moving to a farm in the area. They later moved their family to Riverton and in time to Winnipeg Beach. It was there that John farmed and took a job driving the local school bus. He retired at age 65 and resided at the farm site with Anne until his death. He was a proud family man, he enjoyed almost daily contact with his children, visiting with his friends and extended family. John enjoyed fishing, hunting and maintaining his large garden and yard. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 24 at 10:30 a.m. in the Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Winnipeg Beach, MB with Father Art Seaman officiating. Interment to follow in the Winnipeg Beach Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Gateway Foundation, Box 172, Winnipeg Beach, MB, R0C 3G0.
