Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH VAN BRAECKEL Peacefully on November 13, 2004 at the age of 80 years, Joseph Van Braeckel passed away at St. Boniface Hospital with his family by his side. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Germaine of 55 years; five children, Margaret, Denise (John), Annie, Rene (Valerie), David; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In his early years, Joseph was a farmer in Cypress River. In 1962, the family moved to Winnipeg for the next 27 years, where Joseph worked for Buhler Manufacturer. Joseph fought a courageous battle with kidney, heart disease and lung cancer. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc St. with interment to follow at the Belgium Cemetery.
