STANLEY (STANISLAW) WABIA September 1, 1915 - November 13, 2004 Peacefully on November 13, 2004, Stanley passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 89 years. Stanley is survived by Joseph (Pauline) Sawchuk, Reg (Gerry) Moroz, Kristie (Chris) Chartier, of Winnipeg, Kelly Moroz of Calgary; he is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins in Poland. He was predeceased by his parents, Jakoba and Kataryny Wabia, and a brother and sister. Stanley was born in Wilczyce, Poland and came to Winnipeg in 1947. He worked at the CNR railway plant until retirement in 1980. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Fraternal Aid Society for many years. Stanley attended the North Y Senior Centre twice a week as he loved to swim. The family would like to thank the staff on Unit 5 and Unit 1 of the 5th floor of the Seven Oaks Hospital for all their care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Tsang and his nurse Vera for their support. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
