ARTHUR DUPUIS After a very full and active life, Art passed away peacefully on the evening of November 13, 2004 at the age of 90. His last day was spent with his family at his side. Art was born in Lorette in 1914 and raised his family in St. Boniface. He worked for 33 years with the CN Rail in Transcona and was very involved in the community (church and seniors choirs, St. Johns Ambulance, La Verendrye Game and Fish Association, Native Sons of Canada, Cercle Ouvrier, Transcona Credit Union Board of Trustees). He instilled in us a faith in God, love of nature and camping, singing, dancing and travelling. His radiant smile and sense of humour will be fondly remembered, not only by his family and friends, but also by the entire staff at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne to whom we are so very grateful for their dedication, care and warmth. We are especially grateful to Sr. Marguerite Forest, and to Sr. Irene Rioux for her guidance and support in leading the family in songs and prayers, Arts last journey to his new life with our Lord Jesus Christ was therefore very meaningful. Remaining to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 16 years, Marguerite; his children, Rheal (Carole), Gisele (Jean Valmont), Charlotte (John Kuban), Rachel Whitehouse, Michele (John Seamchuk) eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Louise Rowlands, Bryan Phaneuf (Kim) four stepgrandchildren; brothers, Joe (Mona), Dave (Sally) his sister Doris Starink; and sister-in-law Anna Dupuis. Art was predeceased by his loving wife of 42 years (Yvonne Fontaine to whom he was so devoted during her eight year struggle with ALS) his parents, Marcel and Amanda (Johnson) brother Adrien; sisters, Juliette and Adrienne; nephews, Marcel Lafortune and Allan Starink. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Ron Leger at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. in St. Boniface on Thursday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m. Private interment of Arthurs cremated remains will take place in St. Boniface Cemetery, Archibald Street, following the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthurs memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. LeCLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220
