Mary was predeceased by her husband Steve on September 11, 1982, her son Danny on April 6, 1989 and brother Tony Wiwcharenko on November 4, 2000. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Anne Galka and Olga Laden; daughter-in-law Mary Halowaty; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her brother Roman (Anne) Wicheranko; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Mary came to Canada from Stanislawow, Galicia, Poland in 1922 and she settled in Oakbank with her two brothers where she met and married Steve. They resided there and had one son and two daughters. She was very involved in fund raising, Sunday afternoon tea parties and church picnic and took great pride in her garden and flowers. Mary also liked entertaining family and friends who welcomed her homemade donuts, they were always a treat. She was always willing to give people a helping hand at any time. Her favourite time of the year was the holidays such as Christmas Eve Supper and also celebrated Stafena because Dads name was Steve that was a very happy occasion for all the family. When carols were sung she made sure there was plenty of food and goodies for all, it was a lot of work but she enjoyed doing it. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Kildonan Personal Care Centre especially Jack and Carrie and all the staff for their care and support during our time of need. Also thanks to her Home Care worker, who looked after her at her home. Thanks a lot Mary Ruta. We would also like to thank Fr.
