GLORIA VIOLET MARY FOSTER (SHORTING) August 23, 1956 - November 15, 2004 Peacefully with family by her side, following a lengthy illness, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gloria at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Gloria will be sadly missed and remembered by her loving family. She is survived by her three children, Michelle (David Pacey), Jeremy (Jackie) and Warren. Her wonderful and loving brother George (Yvonne), their children, Amanda, Lawrence and by her mother Denise. Gloria will also be forever missed by her four grandchildren, Johnathan, Kyle, Jazzmine (Pacey), Jacob and by her many friends. Gloria was born in Winnipeg, MB. She loved to travel around Canada with her husband singing and playing country music. In her thirties she became a health unit clerk/H.C.A. where she was employed at the Health Sciences Centre where she worked with children she adored. She enjoyed baking, drawing, crocheting and colouring with her grandchildren. We will miss the gatherings for morning coffee, the long chats and the teaching of the Lord. Gloria had a heart of gold who always had time for her family and friends. Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 18, 11:00 a.m. at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., Pastor Nathan Rieger officiating. Pallbearers: Stan Shorting, Art Shorting, Jeremy Foster, Warren Shorting, David Pacey, Lawrence Rondeau and Honorable Pallbearer Johnathan Pacey. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
