HERMAN KRAHN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Herman Krahn at the age of 75. Herman will be greatly missed by his wife of 23 years Lilian; his four children. Dennis (Carol) of Castlegar, BC, Doug (Christine), Donnie, and Darlene (Don) grandchildren. Jordan, Rachel, Caleb of British Columbia, Austin, Kirsten; stepson Dale Watson (Seannette), their children, Fran, Andrew; sisters, Agatha Bueckert of Niverville and Mary Wiebe; brothers, Henry (Chris), Jake (Edna) of North Vancouver; close friends, Jack and Ruth Hill; as well as numerous other family and friends. Herman was born in Niverville in 1929. He enjoyed working for the churches on their farm for several years, particularly with the horses, and later moved to Winnipeg. In 1951, Herman married Alice Classen and they were married for 27 years. In 1953, Herman started his 42 year long career as an auto mechanic at Coca-Cola, a job he enjoyed very much, and where lifelong friendships were made. In 1981, Herman and Lilian Watson were married. Together they have a cottage at St. Laurent and have spent many wonderful weekends there. Herman loved to repair vehicles and lawnmowers in his spare time, and generously did so for many of his family and friends. Herman also loved to watch things grow - gardening and tree planting gave him great pleasure. The family would like to thank Dr. Hartley and all the wonderful staff at the Grace Hospice for the caring and expert care Herman received.
