ELSIE LOUISE SOKOLOSKI (POLANSKI) September 9, 1925 - November 16, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother at her home. Elsie was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth (Lizzy) and by her parents, Fanny and Stanley Sokoloski; brothers, Elmer and Eddie and her sister Jessie. She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Lonni (John) Cruickshank, Peter (Sandy) Polanski, Ken (Cori) Polanski, Barb (Richard) OHara and her grandchildren, Kristina, Catherine, Dylan, Everett, Jordan, Sullivan, Leah and Julie. Elsie will be also missed by her sister Anne (Walter) Gouglas of Hazelridge; her sister Irene Kula of Calgary and her brother John Sokoloski of Winnipeg. Mom loved her children and supported them tirelessly and unconditionally; she lived her life for their happiness. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and she spent many hours playing and laughing with them. We would like to say a special thanks to Patricia Cumming, her nurse and friend. Mom spoke fondly of you often. According to moms wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere, (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg.
