Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRENE VIALLET Peacefully at Villa Youville in Ste Anne, Manitoba, on Thursday, November 18, 2004 Rene Viallet passed away at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marie of 63 years and by his three brothers: Daniel, Henri and Albert. Remaining to cherish his memory is his one daughter Yvonne and husband Rod McKay and three grandchildren: James, Kathy and Kelly. He also leaves one sister Sr Rose Marie Viallet and three sisters-in-law: Lucie Viallet, Solange Mineault, Eva Hallett and four brothers-in-law: Louis, Albert (Marie), Omer (Therese), Emile (Jeanne). Rene was born June 25, 1918 in Jarrier, France. At the age of four, he immigrated with his family to their homestead in Haywood, MB. He never forgot that boat ride! as he still talked about it to this day. There he met Marie and married on January 11, 1939. Rene with Marie by his side worked hard in building one of the most successful dairy farms in Haywood and St Claude. He was very involved in the community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He had strong views on pro life and politics. He was a man of great faith whose trust in our Blessed Mother was for him a source of strength and hope. The family would like to thank Dr. Lemoine, nurses and staff at Villa Youville for their incredible dedication, care, warmth, and kindness. We are especially grateful to Sr. Irene Rioux for her guidance and support to Rene on his last journey to his new life with our Lord Jesus Christ. Funeral mass will be celebrated in the St. Denis Roman Catholic Church in Haywood, on Monday, November 22 at 10:30 a.m. with recitation of the Rosary and viewing at 10:00 a.m. Mgr. Roger Bazin officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family or friends may send memorial donations to the St. Amant Centre, 440 River Rd. Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9.
