Born: May 31, 1924
Date of Passing: Nov 17, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST MOTT It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Ernie Mott on Wednesday, November 17, 2004. Ernie leaves to cherish his many memories, his beloved wife of 58 years, Shirley; his children, Cheryl (Ed), Susan (Ken), Allan (Grace), Laurie (Bill), Linda (Hans), Janet (Tony) as well as numerous grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Ernie was born May 31, 1924. He worked for the CNR for 44 years and was a member of the Masonic Temple and the Fort Rouge Legion. Ernie was a superb winemaker, champion Risk player, and a Jack of all trades, whether mechanics, carpentry or errand running. He would help anyone anytime and was a great friend and neighbor. What he loved best was his family, Eva Lake and inventing personal nicknames. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service was held. Thanks to Dr. Casey Woo, the paramedics, and the St. Boniface Hospital Chaplain for their kindness and compassion. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Ernests memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of choice. THE BROKEN CHAIN We little knew that morning; God was going to call your name In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, Youre always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. We love you, Dad. We miss you everyday Papa. I’m so fortunate to be able to take my little family out to the cabin you built and make unforgettable memories that you made with us. You would be so proud of your family and how strong Grandma has been for us all. We love you and miss you everyday. Every time I see a pink sky I think if you. ❤️ - Posted by: Tracy Boutet (Granddaughter ) on: Nov 17, 2020

Dad, it's been nearly 15 years and it feels as if we lost you yesterday. Thanks for working so hard to look after Mom and raising the six of us children with kindness and security. Your great-grandchildren are having a blast at the lake. We all love and miss you. - Posted by: Laurie Bowman (Daughter) on: Aug 20, 2019
