Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURIEL KIRKLAND (nee CARPENTER) 1932 - 2004 Peacefully on November 20, 2004 at the Grace Hospital, Muriel passed away at the age of 72 years. Left to cherish her memory, husband, Glen; children, Donna Hayward, Randy Carpenter and Brian (Ronna) Carpenter; grandchildren, Kyra, Nathaniel, Kurtis, Jessica (Chris), Marie, Randy Jr. and Chantell; great-granddaughter, Tiger Lily; stepchildren, Kenneth (Darlene) and Kevin; step-grandchildren, Donnie, Alex, Heather, Lyndsay and Sean; step-great-grandchildren, Jacob and Edena; sisters, Elaine (Harry), Ethal (Vern) and Helen (Art) brother, Jimmy. Also by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by husband, Philip Carpenter; parents, Vida and Ora Wilson; sister, Gladys Bayes; infant daughter, Dean; grandson, Jason and stepdaughter, Brenda Kanski. Muriel had a zest for life and brought smiles to the faces of everyone who knew her. She worked for many years at Avenue Pharmacy at Portage and Valour Road. She was known to all the neighborhood people as Mrs "C". Her infectious laughter and sense of humour touched everyone. Some of her favourite pastimes were playing cards and games with family and friends. She loved to play bingo, of which she was very lucky at. Later she took up darts and won the championship. Muriel enjoyed many summers at Miami Beach Campground with family and friends. She is loved and will be greatly missed. A service of remembrance will be held for Muriel at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 24 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division) 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 9Z9.
