HARVEY WILLIAM HENDERSON 1936 - 2004 Peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2004, Harvey William Henderson passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Harvey is survived by his daughter Marion Henderson-Lane (Keith) of Nova Scotia; and his son Gregory Henderson (Tina) of Mississauga; his three grandsons, Brett and Ryan Lane and Aaron Henderson. Also his sisters, Doreen Forbes and Marion Fox and many nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his older brother James Henderson in 1993. Harvey was born July 29, 1936 in Winnipeg to Beatrice and Walter Henderson. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy as an ERA. He left the Navy in 1965 working as Chief Maintenance Engineer for Calverts in Gimli and later the Municipal Hospitals in Winnipeg, retiring in 1994. Harvey resided at Jocelyn House for the past few months and the family would like to thank the staff for the care and comfort given him. Cremation has taken place and at his request his cremated remains will be sent to his children in Nova Scotia to be cast to the sea. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 25 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., (Aubrey Street entrance) at 1:00 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Jocelyn house, 177 Egerton Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 2W9.
