Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCATHERINE BOWDEN (nee PANYLYK) Peacefully on November 23, 2004 at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Catherine (Kay) passed away at the age of 93 years. Catherine was born in Malniw, Austria on July 6, 1911. In 1921 her family immigrated to Canada and settled in Poplarfield, MB. At 18 years of age she moved to Winnipeg where she married Fred Bowden at the age of 21. Left to cherish her memories are her son Walter Bowden (Anita) daughters Helen Blackburn (Wayne), Joan Wozny, Judy Dynkavitch (Alex) grandchildren Debbie, Freddie, Billy, Christine, Cindy, Corey, Jeffrey, Nicole; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Anne Zver and Pearl Zahaiko; and many nieces and nephews. Mom was a very hard working and caring person. During her lifetime she had devoted herself to her family and her love of cooking. She was also known for her great sense of humour and generosity given the fact no friend or family left her house without a smile on their face and food in their hand. Catherine was predeceased by her husband Fred Bowden, her sister Polly Moroz and brother John Panylyk. We know Baba would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Home for the loving care and fun times they showed her. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 26 at 2:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Catherines memory to The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
