ELIZABETH (BETTY) MATHESON (nee WILSON) It is with deep sorrow the family of Elizabeth (Betty) Matheson announces her passing on November 23, 2004 at the Victoria General Hospital. After a brief, courageous battle with cancer, she is now at peace. Betty was born in Westmount, QC on August 24, 1950. At an early age, her family moved to Brantford, ON. Her working career started there before moving to Winnipeg in 1975. She was involved in the secretarial and administrative fields throughout her career with Renold Canada Ltd., Templeton Engineering, Thorne Riddell (KPMG) and finally with Manitoba Housing Authority. Betty followed her husband to Ontario and for a few years was an Insurance Broker. Predeceased by her parents and brother Leslie, Betty is survived by her loving husband Don; son Jae - Maple Ridge, BC; sister Alice (Rob) Philpott - Wilsonville, ON; mother-in-law A.(Nan) Matheson - Surrey, BC and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family thanks the doctors and nursing staff at Victoria General Hospital for their care and consideration. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or The Winnipeg Humane Society. In accordance with Bettys wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" at 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
