Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOPHIE RENTZ (nee ELYK) 1912 - 2004 Peacefully Sophie Rentz passed away November 23, 2004 at Bethesda Hospital at the age of 92 years. Sophie is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Kuzina of Stoney Mountain, MB, Linda (Vincent) Alguire of Woodridge; six grandchildren, Henry Kuzina, Ronnie Brasseur, Kirsten Green, Donna Brasseur (Leroy Connel), Jason (Valency Meheden) Alguire, Amanda Alguire; four great-grandchildren, Melissa Green, Rondine Brasseur, Damen Connel-Brasseur, Hailey Connel-Brasseur. Sophie was predeceased by her husband Henry Rentz on September 11, 1988, her daughter Helen Brasseur 1990 and one son-in-law Mike Kuzina. Mom was interested in her garden. Anxiously awaited spring and the growing season. She took great pride in her hard work and energy. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 27 at 1:30 p.m. at Steinbach Funeral Home (formerly Loewen Funeral Chapel) with interment at Kerry Cemetery, viewing will be held half hour prior to the service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Thiessen, and the wonderful nurses on second floor at Bethesda Hospital for their loving kindness. Thanks to Gail and Adina, homecare nurses for all their visits and encouragement, Irene and George Grenier who were her wonderful friends.
