WASYL (BILL) STRUTYNSKY Suddenly and peacefully at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital, with his beloved Sophia at his side. Wasyl left this world to join his Maker, where there would be no pain and suffering. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his beloved Sophia; her granddaughter Amber Murray of Calgary, AB, who was very special to Wasyl, and his friends of the St. Josephs Seniors Club. Wasyl was born in Borschiw, Ukraine on February 17, 1922, immigrating to Canada in 1957, leaving his parents and sister behind in Ukraine. He was predeceased by his parents and throughout the years lost all contact with his sister. On October 22, 1962, Wasyl received his Certificate of Canadian Citizenship making him a proud Canadian. Wasyl was a longtime member of St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church on Jefferson Ave. and a proud member of St. Josephs Seniors Club. Wasyl was a very private person with a heart of gold. He did many wonderful things in his life, but he was not one to brag about it. Nobody knows what it means to have a loving husband who makes you happy everyday, until you come home to an empty nest and your bird has flown away. Prayers will be sung at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, November 28 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 29 at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. with a Redemptorist Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, mass offerings would be greatly appreciated. God Grant Him Eternal Rest VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
