ANNA AMENT Peacefully, after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, Anna Ament, aged 90 years, passed away on November 24, 2004. She was predeceased by newborn grandson Adam Ziegler Jr. in 1966; her beloved husband John in 1986; and grandson Bruce Wuebbolt in 1995. Anna is survived by her children, Magdalena Ziegler (Adam), Rosina Gunkel (Frederick), Clara Wuebbolt (Joseph) and Otto (Linda) 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Anna was born on April 12, 1914, in Filipowa, Austria-Hungary. She and John married in 1933 and immigrated to Canada from Austria in 1953. Anna was a devoted and loving wife, a loving and generous mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her festive family dinners were labours of love, which will be long remembered. Prayers will be said on Friday, November 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 27 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Fred Gunkel, Anthony Gunkel, Richard Ziegler, John Gunkel, Patrick Ament and great-grandson Adam Redmond. Flowers are gratefully declined.
