GLADYS MAY SERBIN (nee FABBRO) Peacefully on Thursday, November 25, 2004, Gladys May Serbin passed away at Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 81 years. Gladys was born in Winnipeg, MB on January 8, 1923. She married our dad, Fred on September 7, 1940, devoting her life to raising her children and adoring her grand and great-grandchildren. Mom was a fabulous cook and loved sharing meal times with her loved ones. Gladys adored babies, baseball, puppies, knitting, bingo, bowling and playing the harmonica with Fred. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Oliver and Anne; brothers, Oliver, Ernie and Bob; daughter Diane; and son Vance. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, her husband of 64 years, Fred; sons, Ronald and Robert; daughter Linda; brothers, Donald and Richard; sisters, Helen and Gloria; grandchildren, Corinne and Ronald Jr., Daniele and Claudia, Wade and Douglas; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 30 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made as an expression of gratitude to The Salvation Army Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Road, Winnipeg, MB R2Y 0S8. Special thanks to Dr. Griggs and wonderful staff who cared for Gladys. Goodbye to our adorable, beautiful and beloved mother, Gladys.
