Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEARL ARTHUR BERRY It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Earl on Friday, November 26, 2004 at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 76. Left to cherish his many memories are his wife of 52 years, Marie Anne; daughters, Leslie (Tom), and Barbara; grandchildren, Russell (Melanie), Angela (Adrian), Melissa, and Chris, and great-grandchildren Natasha and Jaden. Also left to mourn are brothers Wally (Heather), and Jake, and sister Ida. Dad will be missed too, by special friend, Keith. Earl was born in Transcona on March 5, 1928. He joined the Army at the age of 15 and served for two years as a piper with the Cameron Highlanders. He was employed with the CNR as a locomotive engineer until his early retirement in 1978. He became very active as an auto mechanic, where he created many lifelong friendships out of his garage. Many hours were spent fixing everything from cars to lawnmowers to bikes for anyone who needed. Earl was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying countless hours hunting and fishing with friends. He was also an antique collector and owned a substantial number of books and 78 records. Dad will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity. The family will be forever grateful to Bill (Debbie), Fred (Kathy), Bob, and sister-in-law Louise for their unselfish devotion and endless hours spent with Earl. The family also wishes to acknowledge doctors, Heidenriech, Smith, Tanner, Intrater and the Pain Clinic Staff. Many thanks to Home Care Workers, especially Odelia. Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of Earls life will be held at a later date. Basic Cremation Service in charge of arrangements.
