Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBENEDICT (BEN) MOROZ October 6, 1930 - November 25, 2004 It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Ben, husband of Margaret of 49 years and his three sons; David (Gwen Hoebig) grandchildren, Alexander (Sasha) and Juliana, Daniel (Tracy Turner) grandchildren, Miranda and Sapphire, Brian (Manon Phoenix) grandson Sebastien; sister Elizabeth Ozar and family of Detroit, Michigan. Also brother-in-law Andrew (Alice) Lutz and sister-in-law Janice Lutz, many nieces, nephews and relatives. Ben worked in the Court of Queens Bench for 32 years as Deputy Registrar and was also a Justice of the Peace. His camaraderie with people was second to none - he was refreshing, always uplifting and had a real zest for life. Ben was a great lover of all music. During his school years he sang in the Gordon Bell school operettas and with the James Duncan singers. Later he was a member of the Winnipeg Philharmonic choir and also sang with the Holy Trinity Russian Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Bens hobbies were extensive - antique collecting, stained glass, carpentry, upholstery. He was a collector of all sorts of paraphernalia. He could repair pretty well anything. He was a member of the Winnipeg Amateur Radio Club (VE4 BBM), a member of The Friends of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and was an ardent patron of the arts. Ben was a devoted family man who adored his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services to be held Tuesday November 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Father Anatole Melnyk of Holy Trinity Russian Greek Orthodox Cathedral will officiate the service. Expressions of sympathy would be appreciated through donations in Bens memory to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Endowment fund, 101-555 Main St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 1C3 or to the Holy Trinity Russian Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 643 Manitoba Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2W 2H1.
