ELMER CHANCEY WHINCUP On Friday, November 26, 2004 at the Douglas Campbell Lodge, Elmer Whincup of Portage la Prairie, widower of the late Ida Whincup passed away at the age of 82 years. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 30 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Norman Collier officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Predeceased by his wife Ida in 1996 and one sister, Barb Krasowski, he leaves to mourn his passing his five sons, Wayne (Lynda) of MacGregor, Bryan of Qualicum Beach, BC, Barry (Barbara) of Portage, Glen (Debbie) of Port Coquitlam, BC and Rick (Gailyn) of Portage; one daughter Marilyn of Portage, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Lloyd (Betty) of Ladner, BC, Norman (Betty) of Winnipeg, Keith of Edmonton, AB and Robert of Arizona; three sisters, Goldie Westlake of Calgary, Caroline (Alfred) of Warwa Estate, AB, Geraldine (Babe) Sinclair of Ritcher, MB. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation on Monday evening November 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made in Elmers name to the ACL Portage, in care of Bowling, P.O. Box 773 Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3C2, or Arc Industries of Portage, or the Sunset Group Home.
