Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT CHARLES MacKAY Robert MacKay passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2004, with his family at his side, at the Deer Lodge Centre. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Isabel MacKay in September, 1999. He will be missed by his son Lloyd; his grandchildren, Darryl and Deanna MacKay; many friends at Bethel Baptist Church; and his neighbours. Robert was born on July 17, 1917 in Winnipeg. He was raised in Fort Rouge and educated at Kelvin and Gordon Bell Schools. He was enlisted with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles from 1937 - 1939, at which time he joined the R.C.A.F., holding military number R106-429. He did equal time at Estevan, SK and Brandon, MB. He worked in aircraft maintenance until his discharge in October, 1945. In March, 1943, Robert married Isabel Richardson by Brandon. He joined the C.N.R. in 1946, working on steam engines in Fort Rouge Round House as a Boiler Maker until 1955. Robert then joined the Federal Canada Post until his retirement in 1982. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 205 Roseberry St. Arrangements are entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
