Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD JAMES VINCENT November 9, 1943 - November 28, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard James Vincent. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Charlotte; his son Jeffrey (Angela) Vincent; sisters, Leslie (Bob) Smith, Lynne (Barry) Kowal; mother-in-law Genevieve Jeffrey; sister-in-law Kathy (Ron) Love; brothers-in-law, Ray (Lynne) Jeffrey, Jim (Pam) Jeffrey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his mother Muriel, in 1989, and his father Robert, in 2003. Richard spent his early years in Tilston, MB and moved with his family to Winnipeg in 1954, where he resided in both East Kildonan and North Kildonan. Richard graduated from Miles Macdonell Collegiate, and began working at Federated Insurance on Broadway. It was there that he met his beloved wife Charlotte. Richard and Charlotte were married in 1970, and in January, 1977, Jeff was born. Although Richard spent the majority of his life in the insurance business, he also tried his hand at other business ventures. Richard was an avid sports fan, and in his earlier days, he enjoyed playing baseball, golfing, curling, and scuba diving. Richard shared many wonderful summers at West Hawk Lake with his family. Richard shared a very special relationship with his son Jeff. Some of his happiest times were the many hours spent with Jeff and cousin Brian working on vehicles. He bought a 1963 Acadian, which he stored for 10 years until Jeff turned 16. They restored it together. He was also very proud of his very first car, a 1967 Firebird convertible. Richard loved travelling and enjoyed many trips with his family to far away places including England, Hawaii, Spain, the Caribbean, and the annual trips to Disney World. Richard was a gentle soul, with a unique sense of humour. He loved board games, horseshoes, photography, stained glass, and his Christmas Village Collection. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Gordon-King Memorial United Church, 127 Cobourg Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, R3C 0S6. KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson - North of McIvor - 338-0331
