JOAN MARIE CUMMER Peacefully on the 24th of November, 2004, Joan passed away after a lengthy illness. Joan was born in Calgary, AB and spent some of her early years in Glenborough, MB area. The family then moved to Winnipeg and grew up in the Ft. Rouge area having attended Churchill High School. Joan had a number of jobs working as a telephone operator and also working for the Government, but her true love was driving and travelling. She worked for Richards Trans in Regina for a number of years and then as a bus driver in Regina. In 1994 she moved to Winnipeg and met her husband where she lived till her passing. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Eugene and stepson Patrick; her loving daughter Candida and husband Dave in Calgary; sisters, Ida-Mae (Dave) from Calgary; Olive (Gerald) and nephew Brad; a sister Emily of Vancouver; a brother Don (Peggy) from Weatherford, TX; sister Doreen (Charles) of Youngstown, NY; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. She will be missed by everyone. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory Church, 254 Arnold Ave. (at Osborne).
