ROBERT "BOB" POSHTAR September 19, 1963- November 29, 2004 Peacefully, on Monday, November 29, 2004, at the Victoria Hospital, Bob Poshtar, at 41 years of age, passed away with the blessings and comfort of his wife Sandra, son Riley, mother-in-law Sally and father-in-law Joe and uncle Nick and Helen at his side. He was predeceased by his father Fred; and his infant son Eric. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his beloved wife Sandra; son Riley; mother Lena; brother Leonard (Silver) and their daughter Lindsay; sister Susan Poshtar, her children, Iresha, Chantel, Amber, Tamara and Joshua; brother David (Lia) and their boys, Dylan and Tyson; mother and father-in-law Joe (Sally) Strumbicki; sister-in-law Karen Makus (Lorne) and their children, Katarina and Kurt; brother-in-law Rob Horsfal; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will also be missed by his two lovable dogs Rocky and DeeDee. Bob was a quiet, kind and generous man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. His good sense of humour will be greatly missed. Bob was employed with New Flyer Industries for over 12 years. He will be missed by all his friends and co-workers. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 6, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the reception centre. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Victoria Hospital 4 North and the very dear friends and family for all their loving care, support and many visits to the hospital. Many thanks to Ron Long and Father Morand for all their spiritual guidance during Bobs illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation (Manitoba Chapter), Kidney Foundation of Canada (Manitoba Branch).
