MUKHTIAR KAUR GILL (nee RAI) Following a long and courageous battle with cancer, Mukhtiar peacefully passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, with her family at her side, on Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the age of 54. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ranjit; her daughter Kulvinder; and her son Kulbir. She remains in the hearts of her brothers, Manjit and Mukhtiar; her sisters, Mohinder and Manjit; and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Jagat and Jagir. Her memory will be cherished by her close family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. (925-1120). Prayers will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the Winnipeg South Sikh Centre, 500 Dovercourt Dr. (at the intersection of Scurfield Boulevard and Dovercourt Drive). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9, 787-4143. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the kindness and warmth shown by the St. Boniface Hospital physicians, nurses, and staff at both the CancerCare Clinic and the Palliative Care Unit.
