FLORENCE MATRICK (nee CHORNEY) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our much loved mother and grammy/nana, Florence, beloved wife of the late Alexander, on November 25, 2004, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra, Lori, and Brenda; grandchildren, Robert, Justin and Tori; sons-in-law, Verne Strahl and Jim Kolbuck. She also leaves behind her adored cats, Kelsey, Sweetie and Trouble. She is also survived by one sister; two sisters-in-law; one niece; three great-nephews and many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Mary; and baby brother Leonard. Florence was employed by the Hudson Bay Co. Downtown Candy Dept. for many years where she made many friends and kept her sweet-tooth satisfied. She retired in the fall of 1987 to devote her time to her family, gardening, travelling and camping, especially when it included a stop at a casino. The family would like to thank Dr. A. Bertsch, the staff of St. Boniface Hospital, 7th floor, ICU and the 5th floor (although she only spent a short time in hospital she still managed to travel). At Moms request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Flowers are gratefully declined.
