RHYS GARDNER PHILLIPS MORGAN Born March 17, 1913, in Winnipeg, MB, to Archibald and Florence Morgan. Passed away in White Rock, BC, on November 30, 2004, at the age of 91. Survived by Jeannette, his loving wife of 55 years; children, Wynn (Jan Gauthier) in Surrey, Nadine (Bill Warwick) in Qualicum, Bill in Calgary, Teresa (Bob Sleno) in Calgary, Nancy (Dave Dunbar) in Cranbrook, David (Mariam) in Winnipeg and Grant in Tokyo, Japan; and his grandchildren, Rhys Morgan, Caitlin Warwick, Sarah Sleno, Stephen Warwick, James Dunbar, Joel Sleno, Erin Dunbar and Yvette Morgan. He was predeceased by brothers, Wynn and Robert; and sister Nancy. Rhys graduated in engineering from the University of Manitoba and Queens University. He worked for many years as a mining engineer in Bissett, MB, where most of his children were born and spent their early years, and he moved back to Winnipeg for the later years of his career. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in Europe. He and Jeannette retired to British Columbia in 1979, first to Nanaimo and then to White Rock. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made in Rhys memory to the Food Bank or charity of your choice. A private family memorial will be held.
