Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE LABELLE-BEAUDETTE (nee LEMOINE) 1913 - 2004 Alice Labelle-Beaudette nous a quittes en toute serenite le 3 decembre 2004 a lage de 91 ans et 3 mois apres un court sejour a lhopital Grace de Winnipeg. Elle sest consacree pendant 27 annees a une carriere dans lenseignement. Elle a ete implique dans divers organismes et associations, entre autres La Federation de lA.P.M., lAssociation dEducation des Canadiens-francais du Manitoba, la Federation des Aines francophones du Manitoba et le Conseil Consultatif National des Aines a Ottawa. Ce qui a marque sa vie, cest la presence du Seigneur dans tous ses engagements et son amour sans limite pour Lui. Aujourdhui, cest le meme Seigneur qui laccueille aupres de Lui. Outre son pere et sa mere, ses freres et soeurs, elle a ete precedee dans la mort par Joseph-Adelard Labelle, son epoux en premieres noces. Aujourdhui, elle laisse dans le deuil son epoux en deuxiemes noces, Lucien Beaudette, ses cinq enfants, ses 18 petits-enfants et 24 arrieres petits-enfants, les sept enfants de Lucien, ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nieces, parents et amis pour qui elle a toujours eu beaucoup daffection. Les prieres pour le repos de lame dAlice Labelle-Beaudette auront lieu mardi soir le 7 decembre 2004 a 19h00 au Salon funeraire Desjardins, rue Des Meurons, a Saint-Boniface. Les funerailles auront lieu mercredi le 8 decembre a 14h00 en leglise du Precieux-Sang, rue Kenny, a Saint Boniface. "Je ne meurs pas, jentre dans la Vie!" Sainte-Therese de lEnfant-Jesus ALICE LABELLE-BEAUDETTE (nee LEMOINE) 1913 - 2004 Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 3, 2004, at the Grace Hospital, Alice went home to the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Lucien Beaudette; daughters, Gisele Arbez (Denis), Lorraine Balcaen (Gerald), Lucille, Viviane Bossuyt (Victor) son Norbert (Lucie) 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Leone Elcheshen (Fred), Diane Roussin (Ronald), Rachelle Barnabe (Ben) stepsons, Gilbert (Lilliane), Norman (Marie), Raymond, Michel; numerous nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Adelard Labelle (December 5, 1979) as well as sisters, Helene, Philomene Dorge, Louise-Anna Bremault, Irene Dumesnil; brothers, George, Antonio, Edmond, Ben, Jean-Marie, Laurent, Joseph and Matthias. Mom was born in Ste-Agathe in 1913. In 1931 she received her Teaching Diploma and later pursued her degree at University of Manitoba. In 1937 she married Adelard Labelle and returned to Ste-Agathe where they raised their five children. During this time, she accumulated 27 years in her teaching career, of which, the last two years as Principal in Ste-Agathe. She was well known as the French teacher in Union Point, Morris School and Pembina Crest. While teaching in Morris, she volunteered her time as secretary in the Catholic Womens League. She was President of the Parent & Teachers committee, as well as secretary at the provincial level. During many years, Mom devoted her time as organist and choir director at the Ste-Agathe Catholic Church, and later at the Precious Blood Church. After retirement, Mom and Dad moved to St-Boniface. She became actively involved with the Francophone Seniors Group. In 1979, she founded the "Club Eclipse 79 Inc." in St-Boniface, which still exists. From 1980 to 1988, she devoted her time in organizing many trips for seniors and also assisted as guide / hostess. Mom received several awards in recognition for all her efforts in the community. In 1987, she married Lucien and continued to reside in St-Boniface. Mom was an energetic, devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mom was a devout adherent of the Catholic Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and she ensured that her children had a strong grounding in their religion. The family extends special thanks to Carole Arbez for her care and compassion for "memere". Prayers will be held at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 Desmeurons, on Tuesday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m. As a celebration of her life, mass will be held at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 200 Kenny, in St-Boniface, on December 8 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing at 1:30 p.m. A private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
