EUGENE GOUSSEAU 1915 - 2004 Peacefully on December 5, 2004 at 89 years of age, Eugene Gousseau passed away with his family at his side. Eugene was predeceased by his parents, Henri and Agnes, and by his four sisters and three brothers. He leaves to mourn his wife of 59 years, Diane; his eight children, Agnes, Louise, Jeanne (Gerry), Cecile (Jean-Rene), Marcel (Audrey), Florence (Lorne), Helene and Henri; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Eugene lived his whole life in St. Norbert, spending 70 of those years on his beloved farm. He was devoted to his family and welcomed every new addition to the group. His other passion was his plants. To the end he maintained his love of gardening, growing many common and unusual vegetables, beautiful flowers, and a variety of fruits and vines. The family extends grateful thanks to the staff of Deer Lodge Centre and Health Sciences Centre (D4 and MICU) for their care and compassion in recent months. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, December 8 at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Norbert Catholic Church, followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. and interment in the St. Norbert Parish Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Eugenes memory to the charity of their choice. "Go in peace and love. On taimera toujours." Arrangements entrusted to Desjardins Funeral Chapel.
