Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER KAMINSKI It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Walter Kaminski at his residence on Sunday, December 5, 2004 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his brother Michael (Helen) niece Barbara (Mike) nephews, Orest (Karen), Terry (Bernadine) their families, many relatives in Canada, the United States and the Ukraine and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna and nephew Roman. Walter was born in the Western Ukraine on July 15, 1922. In 1938, at the age of 16 years, he immigrated to Canada with his parents and brother and settled in Glenmoor, MB. Besides farming, he also worked in Winnipeg, Ontario mines and as a cook for Abitibi Paper Mill where he was well known for his delicious bread and pies. In 1964, Walter moved to Beausejour and continued farming with his brother until his retirement. After many years, in 1977, he took a trip back to the Ukraine and visited with his relatives. Walter was a very kind-hearted, generous person who was always willing to help out. He looked forward to treating his great-nieces and nephews with ice cream and chocolate bars. Most of all, he took great pride in his garden and yard. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour. Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Beausejour. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
