Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT HUDDART JAMES A life well lived. It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of our dear beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother Albert (Al) James at the age of 77 years on Sunday evening, December 5, 2004. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Shirley, his loving wife of 55 Years; daughter Linda (Gord) Puttaert; sons, Ken (Terry), Brian (Kerri), Ron (Carrie), Darrell (Jan) sisters, Willa and Dorothy; grandchildren, Daria, Denise, Michelle, Lindsay, Kevin, Larissa, Scott, John, Sherry, Mike, Shannon; and one great-grandchild Shealene; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Born on June 4, 1927 in Winnipeg, MB, he spent the majority of his life in St. Vital with a brief period spent in Montreal. Al worked at Air Canada for over 37 years, before retiring in 1981. Family was important to Al. He spent his early years coaching his sons sports teams, and participating in their boy scout events. He also took an interest in his daughters track events and other sporting activities. His lifelong passion was airplanes, and he volunteered many hours at the Western Canada Aviation Museum. He also enjoyed such things as history, gardening and especially his family, and always looked forward to his Thursday morning breakfasts with his "Buds". His quiet nature and sense of humour was greatly appreciated by his family and will be missed. A Life Well-Lived is a precious gift of hope and strength and grace; from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place. Its filled with moments sweet and sad, with smiles and sometimes tears, with friendships formed and good times shared and laughter through the years. A private family function is being held. Friends are invited to attend a memorial reception to celebrate Als life on Saturday, December 11 at Thomson "In The Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Winnipeg, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Als memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, the Western Canada Aviation Museum, or to a charity of your choice.
