KAREN LYNN RUSSON (nee JOYCE) Peacefully, on Monday, December 6, 2004, Karen passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 57 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved father Thomas Joyce Jr. She will be dearly missed by her mother Creta; her sons, Don (Linda) and Dale; grandson Matthew; brothers, Jim (Bonny), Larry (Karen), Tom (Wendy) nieces, nephews and families and her very dear friend Kerry. Her last 11 years were enriched by the friends and staff of Luther Home where she will be sadly missed. She meant so much to so many of us. To her parents she was the apple of their eye. To her brothers, a source of strength and humour. To her sons, she was Mother. To her extended family and friends, a resource in times of need. To the communities in which she lived, she was an open door through which a safe haven could always be found. Sincere gratitude to the staff of Unit 5, fifth floor, Seven Oaks Hospital, Luther Home and "Aunt Alecia" for their love, care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family asks individuals to hug their loved ones and keep them close when they return home tonight. A funeral service will be held at Luther Home, 1081 Andrews St. on Monday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. The service will be presided over by Pastor Terry.
