BERNIE JOSEPH DOUCETTE Suddenly, at his residence, on Monday, December 6, 2004, Bernie Joseph Doucette passed away at the age of 68 years. Bernie was born in Ottawa, ON, on January 4, 1936. He was a volunteer with Manitoba Metis Federation, Winnipeg Region, as an Addictions Counsellor. Throughout his career, Bernie helped thousands of people through his counselling. He gave of himself unconditionally to help those in need, and loved meeting people through his work. He enjoyed attending church at New Heights at the Grace Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 15 years, Marlene; stepdaughter Monique; stepson Cory; son Bernie; daughter-in-law Donna; grandchildren, Lucy and Robert; great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Valerie; numerous relatives and friends; and his pet cat Dusty. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. at Parr Street, Winnipeg, with Col. Max Ryan officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., 586-7700.
