Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHANN FLEISCHHACKER Suddenly and peacefully on December 7, 2004 with his family by his side, Dad passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 70 years. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elisabeth of 44 years; daughter Monica; son-in-law David; granddaughters, Amanda, Sara; son David and many friends and relatives. Dad was born in Austria, October 12, 1934 and immigrated to Winnipeg in December 1955. In his early years, Dad was employed with Manitoba Auto Spring, Maple Leaf Flour Mills and lastly Soo-line Mills, where he worked until January 1994. Dad was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his family and friends whenever needed. Recently both Mom and Dad returned from a seven-week vacation from his hometown Apetlon in Austria where along with his family and friends was able to celebrate his 70th birthday. Dad was honoured to know he had so many friends and relatives that loved and cared for him so much. Dad was predeceased by his father and mother, Johann and Anna Fleischhacker; brother Josef and sister Theresia Weinhandl. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a viewing half hour prior to the service. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. Cremation will take place after the service with a private family interment in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Emergency Unit and Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface Hospital for all their care and support.
