After a courageous battle and in the comfort of his wife and son, Gary Nicholson went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital. He leaves to cherish his many memories, his wife of 48 years, Ina; his children, Glen, Debra (Kevin), their children, Megan and Kiefer, Sharon (Peter) their children, Sarah and Matthew, Diane (Gary), their daughter Rebecca Zoe; brother Neil (Shirley) sister Trish (Richard) brothers-in-law, Bob, John; sister-in-law Beryl (Ed), as well as all who knew and loved him. He had a love of theatre and astronomy, but most importantly was his love for his wife, children and grandchildren. "We will love you forever." A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a reception following. I was reminiscing today about how my career in electrical and telecommunications would never have happened if I didn't have Mr. Nicholson as a teacher all those years ago. I have many fond memories of being in his class and all the knowledge and stories he passed onto me. It made the difference in this young mans career choice and I think of this often. - Posted by: Kevin Yakabowski (Student) on: Aug 31, 2021
