Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB (JAKE) LOEWEN Peacefully on December 8, 2004 at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side, Jake went to be in the presence of his Lord. He is survived by his first love, his wife Angie of five years; six step-children and their families, Laurie (Bruce) Zimmer, Bobbi (Kyle) Miller, Douglas (Shannon) Miller, Sherrie Mirers, Lois (Joe) Yankech and Clara Miller; also three brothers, Henry (Anne), Bill (Elsie), Peter (Angie) three sisters, Mary (Dave) Kesler, Sara (George) Wiebe, Eva (Alf) Janke; sister-in-laws, Hilda, Evelyn, Helen and Florence; 13 grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews that he was very fond of. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Maria Loewen, nine brothers and one sister. Jake was born in Hague, SK. In 1944 he moved to Clarkleigh, MB. He and his brother George farmed for many years together. Jake remained farming until five years ago when he resided with his wife Angie in Komarno. Jake was a gentle, caring person with a love of farming. He also immensely enjoyed hunting with his brothers, nephews and friends. In 1965, at the Mennonite Brethren Church on Kingsford Avenue, Jake accepted the Lord and was baptized. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14 at the Oak Point Community Hall in Oak Point, MB, with Pastor Leon Fontaine officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Clarkleigh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Loewen, Isaac Loewen, Philip Loewen, James Loewen, Calvin Janke and Greg Loewen. Arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Home, Ltd. Ashern - Lundar 1-204-768-2072
