HELEN "DAPHNE" LORRAINE MAYBIN Mrs. Helen "Daphne" Lorraine Maybin, late of Abbotsford, BC, passed away on December 4, 2004 at the age of 79 years at MSA Hospital, Abbotsford. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Sharon (Andrew) of Abbotsford; her sons, Don (Sarah), Joe (Linda) of Winnipeg; seven grandchildren; brother Don of Thunder Bay; sister Donna (Eldon) of Grande Prairie; sisters-in-law, Joyce of Kenora, Trudy (Art) of Toronto; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd (Spud) Maybin in March, 1999. Daphne was born in Toronto, ON, March 17, 1925. She grew up and was educated in Souris, MB and took a position as a clerk at the modern groceteria, where she met and married Lloyd in 1948. Daphne was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, an avid bowler and curler. After cremation, a service will be held in Souris on a date to be determined.
