MERLE "TEDDY" GLADYS MARGARET REICHERT (nee LYON) September 27, 1915- December 7, 2004 Peacefully, as she lived her life, Teddy left us in soul but not in memories. She was affectionately known as Teddy for her love of teddy bears since her youth. She leaves behind, sons, Dwight (Michelle), Douglas (Sandie) grandchildren, Lisa, Bradley, Jonathan, Adam; great-grandson Noah; niece Bonnie Stollard; nephews, Wade and Dan Gargan; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by husband Bill in June 1987; daughter Heather Dawn; sister Mildred Gargan (Babs) two brothers, Ed and Russell Lyon. Teddy was born outside Ottawa in Murcheson Township. She grew up on a farm near Medicine Hat before her family moved to Winnipeg, where she met her husband Bill. Teddy dedicated herself to her husband and the rearing of her two sons. Her love of animals stayed with her from a child. She spent all her spare time riding and caring for her horses, dogs and cats. She also loved to gather with friends and family for a good old sing-song. At 81 years, she started going to karaoke to belt out a tune for her many friends and admirers. She also shared many stories about her pets and her home on the river in Charleswood. Always smiling and humming a tune, she was a gentle and loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. Never judging, accepting everyone for themselves, Teddy will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
