Enns, of Morden, passed into the presence of His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on December 9, 2004 at the age of 81. He had fought the good fight and succumbed to complications of septicemia and renal failure. George was predeceased by his parents and all of his brothers. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Maria, his children, Mary and Arthur Thiessen of Morden; Len and Irma of Abbotsford, BC; Ed and Carolynn of Headingley; Larry and Sharon of Beausejour; Fred and Susan of Saskatoon, SK; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; his only sister Katherine Wiebe; sister-in-law Agatha Enns; in-laws; Jack Heide; John and Isabella Heide; Lydia Neufeld; Herman and Anne Heide; John and Agatha Reimer; Susie Friesen and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morden Alliance Church, 181 15th Street. Interment to follow at Waldheim Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Focus on the Family, PO Box 9800 Stn. Terminal, Vancouver, BC V6B 4G3 or to the Kidney Foundation, 730 Taylor Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8. The family would like to thank the staff at Boundary Trails Heath Centre, especially the Dialysis Unit and Dr. Bob Menzies and Dr. Gord Zacharias and the Medical Ward for their tender care.
