Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERIC LUDWIG FUERST March 16, 1938 - December 12, 2004 Passed peacefully on Sunday, December 12, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, beloved husband of Stephanie (nee Chymyshyn) for 43 years, loving father of Dwayne (Kelly) and Tiffany (Chad), proud grandfather of Emmett and Ryley. He was predeceased by two infant brothers, Roy and Paul; and his parents, Albertina and Ludwig Fuerst of Golden Bay; and stepmother Tillie. He is survived by Irvin Fuerst (Irene), Martha Nault (Gib), Elsie Hankins (Steve), Olga Buss (Len), Lydia Richter (Art),Irene Spence (Blake), Dennis Fuerst (Bonnie), Arlene Richter, Ken Trapp (Joan), Cecelia Lathem (Garland) and Mickey Trapp (Pat). Throughout his life, Eric worked at Ontario Hydro, Pine Falls in the bush camp, and learned the plastering trade by working with other contractors. In 1962, he started his own business called Eric's Plastering which he continued with until his sudden illness. Eric was dedicated to his workmanship and took great pride in it. He achieved success and great respect from those he worked for. When he wasn't working, Eric had a great love for life, dancing, travel, baseball, broomball, hockey, golf, curling, snowmobiling, the Minnesota Vikings and most of all, he had a great love for his family and friends. Prayers and viewing will take place at Sobering Funeral Chapel, in Beausejour, on Thursday, December 16 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Zion Lutheran Church on the corner of First Street and Gertrude Avenue in Beausejour, on Friday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. There will be viewing prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zion Lutheran Memorial Building Fund. Pallbearers will be Len Buss, Dennis Craplewe, Bert Chymyshyn, Dennis Dudych, Dennis Fuerst, Don Kubish, Ron Singbeil and Ken Trapp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Cyncora and Blake Spence. Dear Stephanie and Family: We are deeply , deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Eric's passing. Please accept our very deepest sympathy and know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers here in Florida. To think we just saw you and Eric in East Selkirk and he gave us the warmest hug and kiss and greeted and joked with us in his usual warm manner. We will cherish that moment and will warmly hold him in our hearts.
