ABRAHAM HARDER Suddenly on November 23, 2004 our brother and uncle passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his parents, Johann and Anna Harder, a sister in infancy, his brother John and wife Kay Harder, brothers-in-law John Kliever and Ernest Abrahams. He will be remembered by four sisters, Agatha Abrahams, Betty Kliever, Margaret Friesen (Irwin) and Hedie Goosen (Jake) and many nieces and nephews and relatives. Abe was born February 8, 1931 and spent his childhood years in Rosengard. The family moved to Marquette and later to Winnipeg where he resided until his passing. He was baptized on the faith of his Lord by Rev. David Abrahams. Abe spent time working for his uncles on the farm and later at Avo Sales in Winnipeg. He loved the open waters of the lakes in North Western Ontario. Fishing with his friends and teaching his nieces and nephews how to bait fish hooks and clean the fish later. He took others out for dinners and the circus. Dogtooth Lake was one of his favourite places to go to. He made many lifelong friends there fixing broken motors for boats in summer and skidoos in winter. When he retired he liked to help in mission soup kitchens where he made new friends again. We would like to thank his breakfast friends and coffee people for the support they showed him. A memorial service will be held on December 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Westwood Mennonite Community Church at 401 Westwood Dr. Rev. Rodger Thiessen and Rev. Robert Warkentin will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at the Shoenfelder Mennonite Church in Pigeon Lake. We would like to thank the paramedics and Concordia staff for all they did after his massive heart attack. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or charity of their choice. Cremation has taken place in care of Voyage Funeral Home. He left so suddenly And we couldn't say goodbye. Though darker, rougher grows the way And cares press harder day by day, With patience in God's love we'll rest And whisper that He knoweth best. REST IN PEACE
