SANDRA JONES After a brief illness on Monday, December 13, 2004, at Health Sciences Centre, Sandra Jones, beloved daughter of Theresa Simmons (nee Garbolinski) of Winnipeg. Sandra leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Paul, Allan, Bobby; daughter Crystal; mother Theresa Simmons (step-father Gordon Sr.); brothers, Gordon Jr., Wayne, Andrew; sisters, Margie and Anna; numerous aunties, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Helen. Sandra attended St. Nicholas and R.B. Russell schools. She was employed with Motorcoach Industries and New World Technology. Visitation (viewing) will take place 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 16 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 17 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with Fr. I. Dziadyk officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Thinking of you Sandy. I always tell my friends what a kind person you were. You never, ever said an unkind word about anyone. Always the optimist. I was honored to spend your last minutes on Earth with you on that sad day Dec 31. I'll never forget you Sandy. RIP dear soul. Till we meet again. hello nana;( I first want to say how much I really miss you and I wish God never took you from me so early, I was only nine but I remember how close we were, I know that to this day if you were alive we would still have such a closeness, I wish you knew how much you're needed here, I wish you could tell me your 70s stories and overall I just wish my mom still had her mom, I love you nana and I hope we get to meet again in heaven, I love you and miss you every single day - Posted by: celeste jones (grand daughter) on: Aug 10, 2013

Oh Sandy I only found out this week that you have been gone for the past eight years at least I got to see your picture one more time. I will miss our long talks and visits with our kids I sure hope you got to go to all those places that you wanted to always see like CALIFORNIA Miami Fort Lauderdale and the bridge in Cincinatti .... and most of all I'm sure that you got to see Helen again. I will miss you my friend!! I had a single drink for us today so I went ahead and had a purple haze it reminded me of you because of all your 70's stories ....see I had been listening rest in peace my friend!
