AURORE (CADY) LANDRY (nee CHAMPAGNE) April 17, 1922 - December 12, 2004 It is with such deep sorrow and sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of my beautiful mother, Aurore, on December 12, 2004 at the age of 82 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Mom had been battling cancer for the last 22 years. She was such a fighter. Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her loving daughter, Claudette (Bob); brother Fernand Champagne (Doreen), and his children, Diane (Roland), Paulette (Murray) and Renee (Bob); sister-in-law, Antoinette Dolly Fuss, nee Matte and her children, Richard (Susan) and Karen (Ron) and their children, as well as her niece Pat (Gaetan). Mom had a caring thoughtful and a generous heart. She was truly an elegant and beautiful lady. She had a quick wit and sense of humour, and a lovely smile. She cared about people and they cared about her. Mom was so talented and creative which was demonstrated in the flawless needlepoint, stitchery, crocheting and knitting. A very strong faith she had and she lived it every day of her life. She loved her family so much, and enjoyed being around them and always doing little things for them, like her delicious meals during all the special birthdays and holidays. We all shall really miss this, her company, and her famous baking and tourtiere. Ah, no one could beat her. Mom was predeceased quite recently by her cherished husband Raymond and her only son Robert in 2002. She never got over their loss, and she missed them so much. She was also predeceased by her father Adelard and mother Josephine (nee Blanchette), her sister Juliette (Louis Leclerc). Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedrale, 190 avenue de la Cathedrale with Fr. Isaie Blanchette, o.m.i. presiding. Her cremated remains will be laid to eternal rest at the Holy Angel Mausoleum, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road during a private family service to be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend a sincere heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff of the Palliative Care Unit, St. Boniface Hospital for all the excellent care and compassion extended to Mom. Also thank you to all of Mom's friends, relatives and especially those from Place Eugenie for all the visits in the hospital. Mom looked so forward to them. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 8A, or to CancerCare Manitoba would be greatly appreciated. Dear God, please take a message to my Mother up above. Tell her how much I miss her, and that I will be just fine over time. Mom, you were someone really special and God must have thought so too. I know you are now asleep in God's beautiful garden, with your family, and sheltered from all sorrow and pain. We love you Mom, Rest in peace till we meet again in heaven. We shall miss you. Claudette. To My Dear Sister Cady You are so deep in our hearts that we find it very hard to bear the thought that we have lost you. We know that now you are enjoying paradise with God and your family and now free of excruciating pains. We have shared many precious moments growing up together, sharing precious times visiting each other and most of all loving each other as brother and sister. We were a close family. We will miss you dearly and may the Peace of Christ be with you for eternity. We love you. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
